We dispatch your order as quickly as possible, within a maximum of 2-4 working days.

We try not to keep coffee on the shelves for long, so if we don't have a particular coffee in stock, we have to replenish the order after the roasting day. We roast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, pack the coffee and send it out on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Full description
Costa Rican Kenya or Kenyan Costa Rica?

We bought this grain blind. We didn't ask for samples, which we usually do. It was enough for us that we saw two phrases on the importer's list of titles - 'Hacienda Sonora' and 'SL28'. The first was the name of one of our favourite Costa Rican farms. The second phrase is the name of a Kenyan arabica variety. What could come out of such a combination?

Hacienda Sonora's tasting notes are as related as possible to the best Kenyas. Currants, light citrus. But this is a natural treatment, so the coffee is very jammy, coating the tongue. You will find a high sweetness akin to fudge. So it may be Kenyan Costa Rica, but these beans also have characteristics of their processing and country of origin. So this is not a curiosity, but rather a great coffee on its own terms.

At our blog we write in more detail About coffee, the farm and the SL28 variety. Take a look if you want to learn even more!
