We once heard that 'if you're interested in coffee, you probably drink coffee from Ethiopia'. There is something to that. Ethiopian coffee is impossible to confuse with any other. It's one of those countries that produces beans so different and distinctive that you only need one sip to recognise them.
Buku Abel is a brightly roasted espresso for enthusiasts of vibrant, fruity and complexly flavoured scrubs. Nothing here is boring, nothing here is standard. Last year we roasted the Ethiopian espresso with beans from the Hambela washing station. It was time for a new harvest and a change from good to better. If Hambela Ethiopia was your choice, don't worry. It is better than that. Especially since Buku Abel station is a stone's throw from Hambela station. It's the same village.
