Sweet, fruity, with a very long aftertaste. Naturale from Rwanda works perfectly in espresso. The slightly darker roast keeps the acidity in check. What more can we say - this is a stout.

We try not to keep coffee on the shelves for long, so if we don't have a particular coffee in stock, we have to replenish the order after the roasting day. We roast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, pack the coffee and send it out on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Hingakawa cooperative is run by women and aims to empower women in Rwandan coffee production. The cooperative has chosen to name the coffee in honour of Gihanga - the legendary founder of Rwanda and creator of its civilisation. In Rwandan culture, he symbolises the beginning of society, tradition and craftsmanship. Considered a descendant of the gods, he is a central figure in local myths and stories.
The coffee is made from the Red Bourbon variety, widespread in Rwanda, with a high potential for a fruity profile. Combined with the altitude of the crop and rich soils, it produces a complex flavour and a long, sweet aftertaste.
