This coffee could be a showcase for the entire coffee sector in Kenya. It has everything we like about Kenya and it has a lot of it. Currants, raspberries, citrus. Juicy, acidic. One of the best coffees from Kenya we've had in recent times. Phenomenon.

We try not to keep coffee on the shelves for long, so if we don't have a particular coffee in stock, we have to replenish the order after the roasting day. We roast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, pack the coffee and send it out on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Karimikui is one of three washing stations belonging to the Rungeto Farmers' Co-operative Society, formed after the well-known Ngiriama Co-operative was closed down. The station reopened in 1997 and has been continuously serving local farmers ever since. Here, the coffee fruits are hand-sorted and then subjected to the classic wet process: fermentation, rinsing and selection according to quality. The parchment is dried for 8-14 days on raised tables to ensure even drying.
The Rungeto cooperative has implemented a number of solutions to improve processing quality and environmental impact - it has installed tiles in the wash channels and digester tanks at all of its stations and operates a process water reuse system.
