We try not to keep coffee on the shelves for long, so if we don't have a particular coffee in stock, we have to replenish the order after the roasting day. We roast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, pack the coffee and send it out on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Wonderful is the coffee, but wonderful is also the story. Mauricio Rosales founded the farm with his father in 1997. In the beginning, their farm could only be reached by horse. Today, thanks to Mauricio's efforts, a road for cars has already been established, but the farm is still not connected to the electricity grid; electricity is produced for a few hours a day by a generator.
Despite these difficulties, La Maravilla has a well-developed infrastructure for processing the coffee fruit and produces the highest quality beans year after year. In 2020, Mauricio was the winner of the Guatemalan edition of the Cup of Excelence, a competition to identify the best coffees from the country.
