We try not to keep coffee on the shelves for long, so if we don't have a particular coffee in stock, we have to replenish the order after the roasting day. We roast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, pack the coffee and send it out on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Sambewe AMCOS is an agricultural cooperative of 344 farmers in the Mbozi district of southern Tanzania. Although it was formally established in 2018, its roots go back to 2007, when it started as a local producer group. The current structure was the result of a government-imposed reorganisation, merging four previous groups: Lungwa, Nansama, Sambewe and Mandelewo. With the support of the local government, the cooperative received a Penagos machine in 2013, enabling it to start wet processing coffee and significantly improve the quality of the harvest. Annually, Sambewe AMCOS produces around 441 bags of coffee.
